Luciane Gorgulho is Head of the Department of Cultural Economy of The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), department created in 2006, the development and operation of new actions and tools of financial focused on the development of the Culture Economy in Brazil, covering the sectors of audiovisual, publishing, music and games, as well as support through non-refundable resources to historical patrimony and the preservation of memorials archives in the country. In all supported segments, BNDES seeks to support structuring initiatives for the sector.
In the games segment, beyond the lines of credit and investment offered, BNDES has been supporting the structuring of the sector through studies, including largest mapping study ever conducted, released in 2014, in addition to sponsoring events and the articulation with other governmental institutions.
Economist at UFRJ, with a master’s degree in Industrial Economics from the same institution and Executive MBA from COPPEAD, joined the BNDES through a tender in 1992, where she worked in the capitalization of nascent and emerging technology-based companies through venture capital and investment funds, by BNDESPAR. Granted to FINEP between 1999 and 2003, also participated in the structuring of Projeto Inovar.
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Ancine, Finep, BNDES, Spcine, Abragames, Apex-Brasil, MRE, among others will present the financing policies of the Brazilian Games sector.
