Luciana Orvat graduated in architecture and urbanism at FAU-USP and is a postgraduate in graphic design at the same university. She has taken part in workshops and independent courses in Brazil and abroad – the highlights among them are ISIA Urbino/Werkplaats Typografie Summer School in 2014, where she studied with Karel Martens, Armand Mevis, Maureen Mooren and Leonardo Sonolli, and the editorial design workshop with Irma Boom at FLIP in 2015. Luciana has worked in a cultural center, a design studio, a show house and also in agencies until she founded her own studio “Estúdio Claraboia” in 2008. In her studio, she served clients such as Itaú Cultural, USP, Petrobras, Starbucks, Banco Itaú, Auditório Ibirapuera, e Publifolha. Several of her works were selected for Brazilian Graphic Design biennials and a poster got selected for the 27th edition of the Prêmio Design Museu da Casa Brasileira. She also lectured Graphic Project (brands and editorials) at FMU in the years of 2012 to 2014.
